Cooking to Manage the Menopause

The peri-menopause is a challenging moment for women. With the hormonal changes come some annoying symptoms - hot flushes, mood swings, weight gain, gastrointestinal disorders - and new health hazards such as heart problems and bone loss.

Happily, diet is one of the lifestyle changes that can really make a difference during this transitional period.


Focusing on the specific nutritional needs of this new phase of life (calcium, vitamin D, dietary fibre, omega-3, cholesterol, energy levels), and discussing the "dos and don'ts", we will prepare some tailored dishes to support your body and mind.

Session held in a family kitchen, in North Kingston

Group of 5 to 8 people

Session cost: £50 (incl. ingredients)

Duration: circa 2 hours and half, from 10:00am until 12:30pm, followed by a meal around the kitchen table if you fancy
